The Analog Way Pulse²-3G (PLS350-3G) is a robust, high-performance seamless presentation switcher and mixer designed for professional AV environments. It features eight seamless inputs and a total of fourteen input connectors, including HDMI, DVI-D, 3G/HD/SD-SDI, and universal analog inputs. This allows for broad compatibility with a variety of source formats, which makes it particularly useful in live event production, houses of worship, educational institutions, and corporate settings. The unit includes two mirrored outputs that can be configured as Program and Preview or as two independent Program outputs, along with a 3G-SDI output that can either serve as a clone of the main output or as a dedicated video feed.
Engineered on the MIDRA platform, the Pulse²-3G is capable of ultra-low latency processing, providing smooth and high-quality video transitions without delay. It supports up to two live layers on a customizable background, along with features like Quick Frame, which instantly hides all layers except the current one, allowing for emergency transitions or sudden screen changes. The switcher can accommodate custom output formats, enabling it to drive non-standard displays such as LED walls. It also offers comprehensive audio embedding and de-embedding on both HDMI and DVI-D inputs, with tools for precise audio signal routing such as Fast Routing and Audio Breakaway.
The Analog Way Pulse²-3G unit operates in two primary modes: Mixer mode for seamless transitions between inputs using full Preview, and Native Matrix mode for instant switching without transition effects. It includes creative tools like Chroma and Luma Keying, titling, and memory recall capabilities with eight presets per output, eight full-frame stores, and animated logo support. For control, users can operate the unit via its intuitive front panel, RS-232, TCP/IP over Ethernet, or through external remote control options like a Shot Box or keypad. Its compact size and rugged construction make it ideal for rack-mounted installations, and with a universal power supply, it is travel-friendly for mobile production setups.
