Each channel includes a suite of DSP tools—family-specific linear-phase FIR-based crossovers, multiple parametric EQs, phase alignment, delay, and advanced limiters—allowing engineers to tailor performance for diverse loudspeaker configurations. Instant gel presets let operators quickly shift between system types, simplifying setup for shared inventory or hybrid rig use. This DSP capability ensures maximum headroom and system protection through tailored filters that eliminate drop-off and interference issues in multi-element line arrays or speaker systems.

Input flexibility makes the D20 adaptable to a wide range of source material. Users can send audio via balanced analog XLR or digital AES3. The amplifier bridges seamlessly into d&b’s integrated system architecture, marrying source material to speaker profiles for coherent, optimized output. Dual-channel outputs via Neutrik Speakon NL4 or six-pole screw terminals ensure secure connections and clear signal flow to speaker arrays. With its dual-channel configuration, side-by-side stereo, bi-amped setups or dual mono operation are easily supported.

For integrated system monitoring and control, the D20 features both Ethernet and proprietary R1-Link ports, enabling remote configuration via R1-Remote software or connection to the R1 amplifier monitoring network. Engineers can recall and verify presets, input level meters, temperature and current draw, and get real-time relay notifications. With both local and network-based control, on-the-fly adjustments are straightforward, whether from FOH, monitor world, or remotely controlled houses of worship or conference environments.
