The Chauvet Color Strike M is a high-power, IP65-rated motorized strobe and wash fixture designed for outdoor and all-weather touring applications. At its core are two ultra-bright white LED tube elements, each divided into 28 individually controllable sections, delivering intense, razor-sharp strobe effects with full pixel-level control over the entire beam. Surrounding the white tubes are 14 sections of RGB LEDs, arranged seven on top and seven on the bottom, which form a color-mixing, pixel-mappable face that can run smooth washes, sharp color splits, and dynamic patterns independently of the strobe function. This hybrid design lets a single fixture cover both the hard, high-impact strobe work and the softer color wash work that most outdoor rigs require, cutting down on fixture count and rigging points.
The motorized tilt head offers a 180° range of movement, giving programmers the ability to aim the beam precisely from vertical to fully horizontal and anywhere in between. This makes the Color Strike M ideal for truss-mounted looks, stage lips, and architectural applications where the beam needs to sweep across a venue or landscape rather than stay locked in one position. The fixture’s rugged IP65-rated housing protects the optics and electronics from rain, dust, and harsh environmental conditions, making it a dependable choice for festivals, outdoor concerts, and permanent installations where weather exposure is a constant concern.
On the control side, the Color Strike M supports DMX, Art-Net, and sACN, with adjustable pulse width modulation for fine-tuning the strobe character to match the show. An OLED display on the fixture makes setup and diagnostics straightforward, and remote device management allows technicians to monitor and service the unit from a distance, which is especially valuable on large outdoor rigs where access to individual fixtures can be difficult. With its combination of raw strobe power, flexible color wash capability, wide tilt range, and weatherproof construction, the Color Strike M is one of the most versatile outdoor moving head fixtures on the market and a proven workhorse for touring and installation use.
