The DiGiCo Quantum 5 is the ultimate in live sound mixing, a flagship digital console engineered for the most demanding touring, live, and broadcast applications. Built on the same processing core as its larger Quantum 3 sibling, the Quantum 5 delivers over 450 processing paths at a native 96kHz, including 288 processing channels configurable as up to 256 inputs and up to 128 busses, plus a full 36 by 36 matrix. The entire engine runs at 96kHz without throttling, giving engineers headroom and resolution that simply cannot be matched at 48kHz, whether mixing a 200 input festival stage, a broadcast OB truck, or a complex touring production.
The Quantum 5 control surface features 37 physical motorized faders, a full set of rotary encoders, and three 15-inch high-resolution LCD screens that provide complete, uncluttered access to the mix. Navigation is fast and intuitive, with dedicated input, bus, and matrix screens, plus an array of assignable softkeys that keep every tool within reach. Connectivity is built for scale and redundancy, with 4 x MADI in/out ports carrying 64 channels each, plus optional Dante networking cards providing 64 in/64 out at 48kHz or 32 in/32 out at 96kHz over primary and secondary Gigabit Ethercon ports. The console supports full scene recall with a deep scene stack, making show changes fast and reliable.
