The Elation PROTEUS HYBRID is an IP65 rated 3-in-1 hybrid moving head luminaire that delivers true beam, spot, and wash performance from a single fixture, making it one of the most versatile tools in the outdoor and touring lighting arsenal. At its core sits the Philips MSD Platinum 21R 470W 8,000K lamp with a CRI of 80, producing over 14,000 lumens and a measured 233,000 lux at 15 meters in 2.0 degree beam mode. That output, combined with an advanced optical system and motorized zoom, allows the fixture to transition from a razor sharp 2.1 degree beam all the way to a broad 31.2 degree wash, giving the programmer laser-like beams, crisp gobo spots, and wide soft washes without ever changing fixtures.

The PROTEUS HYBRID offers an exceptionally complete effects and color package. Full CMY color mixing is paired with linear CTO color correction for accurate color rendering in any mode, backed by a 14 color dichroic wheel that includes CTB, CTO, and UV. Eight rotating interchangeable glass gobos and 14 static stamped metal gobos cover both fine and bold projection work, while a full 360 degree bi-directional animation wheel, rotating 8-facet and linear prisms, and a frost filter for hybrid wash effects keep the look fresh for the entire show. Motorized focus with auto-focus keeps images sharp across the entire zoom range, and a high speed mechanical shutter and strobe add punch at the critical moment. The fixture runs 24, 26, or 37 DMX channel modes with 8 or 16 bit adjustable resolution, 540/630 degrees of pan, 265 degrees of tilt, and support for DMX, RDM, Art-Net, and sACN, plus Elation’s E-FLY internal wireless DMX transceiver for clean, cable-free positions.

Built for demanding environments, the IP65 sealed design includes IP65 rated 5-pin XLR and RJ45 DMX in/out connections, an IP65 locking power cable inlet, a full color 180 degree reversible LCD display with 6 button touch panel, and battery backup for display power. A multi-voltage universal auto switching power supply accepts 100 to 240V at a maximum consumption of 700W, while an advanced internal thermal cooling system keeps performance consistent even at full output in warm conditions. At 84.0 lbs (38 kg) and a footprint of 465 x 571 x 805 mm, the PROTEUS HYBRID is a proven workhorse for outdoor festivals, stadium tours, architectural lighting, and large installation projects, carrying CE and cETLus certification with an average lamp life of 1,000 hours.
